SMARTWIN, Manufacturer of AKS Bus Servo Drives, Establishes Full Data Collection Linkage for Automation Equipment

As automated production lines are increasingly upgraded to support flexible mixed-model manufacturing and digital twin management, conventional pulse-type servo drives can only receive position commands without uploading equipment operational data, failing to meet production demands including intelligent scheduling and predictive maintenance.Featuring high-speed bus communication, multi-dimensional operational data acquisition and adaptive control performance, SMARTWIN AKS series EtherCAT bus servo drives have become the preferred control supporting component for intelligent equipment in new energy, 3C electronics, semiconductor and medical industries.

The EtherCAT bus delivers ultra-fast synchronous response and stable error control during multi-axis synchronized operation, ensuring superior running consistency for equipment such as multi-head synchronous handling machines and multi-station rotary indexing tables. The drive continuously transmits various operational data to the host controller, including motor position, output current, winding temperature, load fluctuation and historical alarm logs. Plant management systems analyze accumulated long-term data to identify hidden risks like guide rail wear, abnormal motor loads and degraded encoder signals, enabling predictive maintenance, reducing unplanned downtime and boosting overall production line throughput. When switching production to workpieces of different specifications, operators can remotely call up pre-set motion parameters instead of modifying drive parameters on-site at the electrical cabinet. This enables rapid production changeover, perfectly matching flexible processing for multiple product varieties.

The complete system boasts outstanding compatibility. AKS servo drives are directly compatible with the full range of SMARTWIN linear modules, various torque motors and encoders. Motor and drive parameters are pre-matched at the factory, saving equipment manufacturer massive amounts of adaptation and commissioning work. Independent adjustment of position, speed and current three loops is supported. It caters to low-speed, high-precision working conditions such as wafer inspection and optical fine-tuning, as well as high-dynamic scenarios including long-distance lithium battery transportation and high-speed laser cutting. Multiple digital IO and analog interfaces are reserved on the drive body, which can be directly connected to peripheral devices such as emergency stops, limit switches, vision triggers and pneumatic valves, simplifying electrical wiring workload.

All hardware and control algorithms are independently developed domestically, free from supply restriction of core overseas components. Standard models are kept in stock all year round, and the delivery lead time for orders with special power ratings or customized communication requirements is greatly shortened. Service centers are established across the country, with professional technicians available for on-site services including bus network configuration, multi-axis synchronization commissioning and troubleshooting. Against the industry trend of localization of high-end equipment, SMARTWIN AKS EtherCAT bus servo drives satisfy three core demands simultaneously: high-precision motion control, comprehensive equipment safety protection and digital data acquisition. They assist domestic automation equipment manufacturers in upgrading both machine operating performance and intelligent production management.
