MARTWIN Intelligent Equipment CFS Series Iron-Core Linear Motors – High-Thrust Cost-Effective Direct Drive Solutions
As a professional domestic manufacturer specializing in the R&D and production of linear motors, SMARTWIN Intelligent Equipment has launched the CFS series iron-core linear motors. Targeting medium-to-heavy load applications such as high-speed handling, precision assembly and inspection conveyance on mass-production automated lines, this series balances high thrust density, low cogging force, superior acceleration performance and cost competitiveness. It fills the market gap of domestic cost-effective iron-core linear motors and delivers mature, reliable direct drive solutions for automation equipment manufacturers.

The CFS series adopts a classic iron-core electromagnetic topology. Combining laminated cores with high-density windings, it significantly improves thrust density per unit volume. Compared with coreless linear motors of the same size, it delivers higher continuous and peak thrust, making it suitable for medium-load high-speed reciprocating applications. The R&D team optimizes the cogging structure and magnet arrangement via finite element magnetic field simulation, which effectively suppresses cogging force, reduces thrust ripple and enhances smoothness at low speeds. It achieves low cogging force performance while retaining outstanding dynamic response under high acceleration. The motor meets core requirements of rapid start-stop and precise positioning for high-speed point-to-point handling and high-cycle processing equipment. Benefiting from direct-drive architecture without intermediate transmission components, ball screws, timing belts and other mechanical transmission pairs are eliminated. It avoids accuracy drift caused by elastic deformation, backlash and mechanical wear, enabling micron-level repeat positioning accuracy across the full stroke. Its dynamic response outperforms traditional ball screw modules by a large margin.

The CFS is designed for cost-effective mass-production equipment supporting. With core dynamic performance fully retained, its overall structural design and material bill are optimized to drastically cut the system matching cost, making it ideal for mass assembly of standardized automation equipment. The product supports spliced installation for long travel applications. The stator length can be flexible extended according to the actual conveying stroke of production lines, suiting long-distance cross-station conveying lines. It is compatible with mainstream linear scale position feedback solutions and can be directly matched with SMARTWIN SH/SA series optical encoders and AKS servo drives to build fully closed-loop linear motion control systems. Supporting mainstream industrial buses such as EtherCAT, it realizes multi-axis synchronous linkage control to meet high-speed synchronous operation requirements of flexible production lines.

In terms of craftsmanship and reliability design, the windings of CFS iron-core linear motors adopt temperature-resistant insulating materials, which are suitable for long-term continuous mass production and support 7 x 24 hours non-stop operation. Every unit undergoes full-load aging, high-low temperature cycling and vibration durability tests before delivery to guarantee long-term operational stability, making it applicable to general industrial workshop environments including 3C assembly, packaging automation, PV sorting and logistics sorting. In addition, to address the inherent normal attraction force of iron-core motors, we provide reference schemes for matching guide rail selection, lowering the difficulty of guide rail matching and overall mechanical structural design.

The complete motor set adopts domestically self-developed magnets, iron cores and windings, delivering stable and controllable supply chains and enabling fast mass delivery. It stands out from imported counterparts with their long lead times and high prices. SMARTWIN Intelligent Equipment provides full supporting service including selection calculation, structural design guidance and servo commissioning assistance, helping equipment manufacturers accelerate complete machine integration and development. Boasting four core advantages - high thrust, high acceleration, low cogging force and outstanding cost performance - the CFS series balances superior performance and affordable costs. It promotes the widespread adoption of iron-core direct-drive technology in mass-production automation equipment and helps domestic automation machines improve cycle efficiency and overall cost competitiveness.
